Lake Home AV is born out of a passion and professional interest in music. Coming from a musical family and having practically grown up in a music studio, Lake Home AV Owner Luke Kavanagh has always had an ear for music. DJ’ing at the weekend in his younger years, and helping his father, to install sound systems in nightclubs and set up rigs at music festivals during the summer holidays, Luke picked up a strong understanding of sound engineering. It was therefore no surprise that he decided to pursue a career as an electrician. Not being prepared to let go of his passion for music, Luke continued to DJ during the weekends until he launched his own business, Lake Electrical, the sister company to Lake Home AV.
Luke explains his reluctance at leaving his musicality behind as his career progressed. “As Lake Electrical took off and we found ourselves taking on large projects such as the Olympic Park and football stadiums, there wasn’t time to dedicate to DJ’ing in the evenings, so I reluctantly stepped away from the decks!”
As more and more of Luke’s clients asked him to create cinema rooms for them, he realised he was able to combine his skill as an electrician along with his passion for creating superb audio visual systems and Lake Home AV was born. In recent times it has expanded to encompass Home Automation Systems. Alongside its sister company, Lake Electrical, the Lake brand can fulfil most domestic and commercial electrical needs.
